Pride in your kids

My eldest, who at 15 was aimless, getting into trouble with the police, doing drugs, fighting, hated school, today got his first proper job after turning his life around.
4 years in the army (in desperation me and his mum shipped him off to Harrogate Army College when he turned 16) followed by another 4 going to Uni (despite leaving school with zero qualifications), getting a 1st and following it up with a Masters.
Today, he heard that he's got a job with Manchester Council reintegrating ex-armed forces back into society. £36k a year, too. I'm so fucking proud of him.
Any of you cunts have a similar sense of pride in your own sprogs achievements?

Nice one Alfs.
My 22 year old daughter was the first in the family to go to Uni.
She is studying medicine and is only 16 months from qualifying now.
She's also a big Irons fan.

My 30 year old son has had a season ticket for about 24 years and is obsessed with the club from youth upwards, despite all his mates supporting the "Top 4" since he was about 5, so proud of that.
My daughter hates football with a passion, but just as proud.

Being proud of your kids is something money can't buy. Some great examples on here and its not all about money, jobs , status etc.
Just being a good human being is something to be proud of these days.
My kids are both employed by well known companies, are well rounded, well travelled and Hammers all of which I am super proud of.
Wells one the kids all of them mentioned on here.

It's worse than that. His thoughtless action has probably set back the climate salvation project by 20 years given all the carbon released suddenly into the atmosphere through this.
We've now all got to go live in a cave in atonement which will create even more tensions and aggravation because, as you know, since, like, whenever, cave development has been pretty much on hold, so supply...demand....gazumping...you know how it is.

My middle lad is a plasterer.
Although i am chuffed he has a good trade and appears very good at it, today was not his proudest moment,
Threw his cigarette butt in the back garden of where he was working and went off to get some materials.
Came back to two fire engines and ten firemen. he threw the butt on some saw dust, which caught alight, spreading to the fence, which took that out and then up the house next door to where he was working...melted gutters and window frames etc..
He is not insured and got off very lightly in that the house owner is claiming on his house insurance. Cost to son is £200.
